A look at Luque and back

Leaving Zuheros and passing beneath great crags you follow our old walk of the bedsteads. Crossing a shoulder of the mountain takes you across lovely open land and down into Luque – a good lunch stop. You return via a steep boulder strewn valley and then a spectacular descent back into Zuheros. (10 miles)

Manuels Way

Climbing out of the village you follow an old shepherds path which climbs gently until reaching the high pastures and the very heart of the Subbética. Later you descend to Doña Mencía where you can cool off with a beer in the Cantina – the old railway station. (10 miles)

Alpujarras

The walk starts in Pórtugos, and then follows the old mule route to Trevélez. Once you emerge from the oak woods the views are spectacular. (9 miles)

Capileira – Las Tomas – Capileira

Taking in the TahÁ
